<p>Among all the achievements of Evolution there is one thing that beat all the others: the human brain. Its construction is a true mystery and nothing that mankind has accomplished come close to its complexity and capacity. In five fifteen-minute programmes we reveal the wonders of this masterpiece and the work of those who deal with it. Swedish neuroscientists work in the forefront of international brain science. We display their research and what they do when things go wrong: when the brain is attacked by disease such as Alzheimer or injured by stroke or accidents. Photographers Lennart Nilsson and Linnea Rundgren contributes with new scenes from the universe of the brain. The series is financed by private donations via Swedish Brain Foundation.</p>
