Mind Your Teens / Grymt Fett

The human brain is with no doubt, the most advanced construction we know of: thousands of billions of neural links that restructure each time we learn something new. Oddly enough, the number of brain cells decreases during the teen years in a kind of maturing process within the growing brain. The fact that the human brain isn't fully developed until around age 20, explains why many of us find life complicated during our teenage years: a time when you take risks and make sketchy decisions.

In five short films we display different aspects of teenage life: sleep, friendship, risk taking, reward seeking and learning. Participating in the series are neuroscientists such as Lawrence Steinberg and Sarah Jayne Blakemore. The series is produced for AstraZeneca Young Health Programme and distributed to schools in Swedish and English versions.
